Alitex has spent more than 5 decades designing and constructing some of the most elegant Greenhouses, Conservatories and Orangeries in the world. Clients range from The National Trust and owners of Grade 1 listed houses in the UK, to people with modest town gardens. They came to us with a simple brief: ‘we’d like a well designed website that shows off the differentiation we have in our product and we want people to see it’.
Whilst the idea is simple as many companies will know achieving this goal is not. But with our expertise and knowledge we were very confident we could fulfill Alitex’s brief and in a way that would have a real impact on their company. We set about understanding Alitex’s position in their market and using this as the base from which all of our design, marketing and Search Engine marketing ideas would spring. Customer knowledge was key: they serve a particular market made complex by the introduction of third party “influencers” who are garden designers, architects or head gardeners all groups of people involved in the decision of what greenhouse should suit a particular look or purpose.
As with all of our projects finding the appropriate language for the customer base and turning this in to visual ideas and website content that search engines would see was the first step. Once we developed this we created an overriding online visual and marketing strategy that would communicate clearly to Alitex’s customer base. We used short accessaible customer quotes as a key strategy to connect the audience in a real way with the quality of Alitex’s greenhouses and the customer service they provide. We developed a site architecture that would take their audience in to all the activites that make Alitex a unique personality in this industry, Their knowledge of growing, their connection with the Chelsea flower Show, and their passion for build quality and focus on design.
Alitex’s website is now the hub of their marketing activity. The company has grown greatly over the period of our relationship with them. While we can’t take all the plaudits for this Alitex themselves attribute much of this growth to their relationship with us.
